I have been thinking about the concept of Vantage Point.  When you google the term, links to reviews of the movie and investment firms pop up. The dictionary has a vague retort, “A position that affords a broad overall view or perspective, as of a place or situation.”

I began to contemplate how a Vantage Point, both physically and metaphorically, effects art.  And does it effect it or propel it?  In photography the ramifications of altered vantage points is immense.  And sometimes can be as subtle as the focal length of a given lens.  How is vantage point used in conveying intended meaning?  Or eliminating information, editing content, to an extent that alters the message?

How do you use Vantage Point in your art or design, in your writing?  I would love to hear some thoughts.
